This note is written to help anyone who might or does have a hearing problem.
I had a hearing problem for years and was most skeptical about hearing aids and their overall use.
I was skeptical about their effectiveness, ease of use, comfort, cost and just had so many questions.
Fortunately, my wife and I found Cathy Kurth. WOW!!
My wife and I have only the most sincere admiration and respect for Cathy and her team. Our problem - and I mean my wife's
problem as well because she certainly bore the brunt of my hearing probelm - basically vanished!!
Do your family and yourself a big favor and give Cathy a chance to work her magic!

Dear Dr. Kurth,
As the owner of a luxury home design firm, I am always very concerned about quality of product and
quality of service. When I made the commitment to have my hearing tested and perhaps
purchase hearing aids, my motivation was to improve the quality of my life and the quality of the lives of my family, my staff and my clients.
Little did I know that my response to your advertisement for a hearing aid seminar would change my life so dramatically.
My relationship with you and your staff has been nothing short of remarkable and indeed you have turned out to be a health care
service provider for me, not just a "hearing aid sales outlet."
The Phonak completely in the ear units that I have had for over two months now are light years above what
I expected my improved hearing to be. My hearing loss was over 50% and the new units have restored my hearing to 75%
(and I think perhaps better than that). I can hear people in the back seat now without having to turn my head to see them,
I don't have to ask my family to constantly repeat things, my staff is amazed that my comprehensions is so much higher,
and I don't misinterpret my clients' comments. I also don't read lips any longer and I am hearing the notes between the
notes of my favorite music that I haven't heard in many, many years. What a joy it is to have these units!
Likewise, I want to thank you for your caring and your patience in answering my questions and addressing all of my
concerns so completely. This was a big step for me and your professional skills shone through. There
was no doubt in my mind that when I made the decision to move forward, I was improving the quality of not only my life,
but all of those around me also.
My only question is to myself..."Why did I wait so long to do this?"

I know that you told me to wait 45 days before I made a judgment about the Widex Inteo IN-9
hearing aids, but I think you know me well enough to know that I would not wait that long.
They are just GREAT GREAT!
The clarity is beyond anything I thought was possible for me to achieve.
Dr. Kurth - you have given back to me what I have not had
for fifty years - the understanding of spoken words.
The first day I received the Widex IN-9 was the first day since
closed caption TV was available that I watched
TV with the closed caption off and heard with clarify
and understanding of the words spoken. For this, Dr. Kathy Kurth,

Dear Cathy,
I've had a hearing problem for the past 14 years, and have tried several
different brands for the last 10. None of them have come close to the natural
sound I get from the Resound. The Resound sounds so natural, and is so comfortable,
that I actually have to touch my ear sometimes because I don't even know I have it in.
I would highly recommend the Resound hearing aid as a worthwhile investment. I depend
on it in my profession in television news, since hearing those I do stories on is imperative.

Hello,
My name is Patricia. I am 79 years old and in good health except for a
severe hearing loss. I have been deaf in my right ear for many years.
I have been a patient of Dr. Kristin Wells and she fitted my left ear with a
Diva Digital Hearing Aid so I would hear better. In June, I went to her for
help with my hearing aid as I could not hear well at all. Kristin tested my ear
and I had suffered a profound hearing loss. She suggested I might qualify for a
Cochlear implant and made an appointment for me at Mayo Clinic. After three weeks of
healing, the processor was connected to the implant. It was so exciting to hear from my
deaf ear. It is truly a miracle. With the implant in my right ear and the hearing aid in my left ear,
I am now able to converse with people and use the telephone.

Dear Chris:
This is a thank you for giving me back my hearing! It has been my experience that sometimes we voice our
displeasure but fail to praise. Although I have told you in person, I want to say it in writing as well.
I came to your office because a volunteer job I value makes using the telephone a necessity. Over the years
I had heard so many negatives about hearing aids. I was uncertain about their benefits. Also, I felt that
spending so much money on myself at age 86+ was quite an indulgence. Chris, you were low key, patient, reassuring,
a good listener and you answered all of my questions. Now, only three weeks after getting my hearing aids,
I am entirely pleased with them. They exceed my expectations; I put them in first thing in the morning and
do not even notice them anymore. Understanding people on the phone is easy now, and I am enjoying this noisy,
wonderful world. Already I'm able to screen out unimportant sounds, and the pleasure of
hearing the rustle of leaves in the wind and the birds chattering just off my patio is fabulous.
I am most grateful for:
- The science that makes good hearing possible
- The professional skill and expertise of my audiologist
- Most of all, the personal, understanding touch

Dear Kristin:
Thank you very much for introducing me to the Widex Diva hearing instrument and
especially for suggesting I try the behind-the-ear model. These hearing
aids have opened up a world of sound that I have not heard for many years.
All of a sudden my wife speaks clearly and her diction has greatly improved. More
importantly, my own voice is decidedly more natural than it was with my old-style
hearing aids. The new features: volume control, dual microphones, and the off-on
switch just adds to the pleasure of wearing these instruments. I could rave on but
the proof is in the wearing, and in the hearing! I just want to express my appreciation

Dear Dr. Kurth,
When I started wearing hearing aids three years ago, I had no first-hand
information about them. It became difficult for me to insert them into the ear canal,
so I became frustrated, and quit using them. But recently, I decided to try them again.
It was so much easier. I was presented with beautiful color pictures of all the different styles
and sizes of hearing aids, along with practical hints so useful in getting used to them! I'm
