The Locator feature automatically focuses REAL on sound sources in front of you in various listening environments.

Microphone sensitivity is adjusted to improve the overall signal-to-noise ratio in all situations.
EDRC: The EDRC compression system ensures that soft sounds, such as dripping water, are audible,

SCOLA® FM system
Widex REAL is compatible with SCOLA FM, Widex' assistive listening device system, which makes it easy to hear and understand speech in
noisy environments such as classrooms and conferences (FM systems are available for RE-9 and RE-19).
Telecoils
Widex REAL comes with a built-in telecoil. You can connect the hearing aid to a loop system installed in, for example,
a theatre by switching the hearing aid to the T (Telecoil) setting. The sound signal (e.g. the actor's voice) is thereby received
directly in the hearing aid, separating the speech source from background noise (Telecoils are available in RE-19, RE-9 and RE-X).
